New SIP Orders Allow All Construction to Proceed—Don’t Risk Shut Down Re-Entering the Construction Workplace

On April 29, six Bay Area Counties and the City of Berkeley issued new shelter-in- place Orders that deem all construction “essential,” allowing all construction to proceed. Other counties are adopting these Orders also. However, the Orders impose strict public and worker safety requirements—failure to comply may result in project shut down. In this free webinar, Smith, Currie & Hancock LLC attorneys Daniel McLennon, Karissa Fox, and Dino Velez offer:

  • Practical advice on how to implement practices and procedures to ensure your project complies with the new rules, stays operational, and keeps workers safe
  • Details about who among project participants and insurers will bear the costs and impacts caused by new safety measures.
  • Information on employment issues that confront contractors as they re-enter the construction workplace.
